Karim Bartoletti was born in Switzerland from an Italian father and an Iranian mother. He has lived in Florence, Tehran, Rome, Milan and Chicago. He is currently based in Milan, and is Partner/Executive Producer of Indiana Production, one of the largest and most prolific production company in Italy.
A graduate of Northwestern University, Karim was hired as agency producer at DDB/Chicago, producing campaigns for Budweiser, Bud Light, Energizer, Exxon/Mobil, and McDonald’s.
He left DDB as an Executive Producer to become Senior Vice President/Director of Broadcast Production at Y&R/Chicago (the youngest Head of Production in the US at the time). In his years at Y&R, he not only restructured the broadcast/media department, but also produced ground-breaking campaigns for clients Nascar, Miller and Sears.
After 12 years in the USA, Karim moved back to Italy, to be a Partner in the Production branch of Filmmaster (one of the oldest and most solid Production and Events companies in Europe). In addition to continuing the quality work he has always strived for, he has successfully helped Filmmaster move from being a well known local company to an International Content Production Company.
Production for Karim is not the end of a creative process, but its natural continuation. “Creative Production” is therefore at the core of his career, which, with a good dose of intuition, has placed him at the helm of several ground-breaking projects.
Karim’s portfolio boasts more than 300 productions with some the most well-established commercial and feature-film directors.
Karim has won every major award in the business, including Cannes with the most award-winning spot in Italian history, and has been invited as Juror in most of the main international festivals, including Cannes, Clios, AICP, Mobius, New York Festivals and Eurobest – where he presided as Craft Jury President in 2012.
