Thanks to his older brother who was editing a wonderful magazine about culture, he got his start in advertising. A small agency spotted him and since then he has not left this line of business.
He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising at Wales University. He doesn’t remember much from his formal education there, so he make a point to spend the first hour of each day looking at and studying what is being done in advertising today. There is a lot to take in each day and much of it is very good.
He has worked in agencies such as SOLUCION FPPD, Euro RSCG, TBWA, Revolution and Popin Group. He has drawn the same conclusion from all of them, regardless of their size: Ogilvy was right, “surround yourself with people that are better than you and you will become so much better. Otherwise you are wasting your time.”
He has had time to start and close his own free-lance agency “The Easy Company Ad” where he worked for clients such as Nintendo as well as other really interesting agencies like Young & Rubicam, Contrapunto BBDO, Libre and Órbital BBDO.
He has had the chance to learn from and work with brands that he never thought he would have the opportunity to do so: Burger King, Hyundai, Porsche, Saab, Loewe, Spain National Lottery, Alitalia, Tag Heuer, Renault, Dacia, Unicef, P&G and Mondeléz. He has also won national and international festivals with brands such as El Sol, FIAP, European Design, C de C, EFI, John Caples, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, Inspirational, FiFi Awards and Luerzer´s Archive to name a few.
He is currently Creative Director at Proximity Madrid, and as a good copywriter, he keep in the last drawer of his desk the draft of a draft of a book that he will never have the chance to write and hundreds of campaigns that are screaming for a chance.
